I've been involved in real estate since 1984 and personally own multiple apartment complexes and several single family properties throughout So. California. In 2004, I formed Property Rehab Service LLC. PRS primary charter was to purchase distressed properties, fix them up and sell the properties for a profit, which I personally managed. PRS also purchased and developed raw land and has built several single family homes throughout So. California.
My son, Larry Aguilar Jr. has been a successful Real Estate Broker since 2000. In 2010 we formed Aguilar Real Estate Associates Inc. and have enjoyed consistent growth even through a down economy. We recognize the advantage of being part of a large professional real estate organization and in 2012 we joined First Team Real Estate. I have been involved in all aspects of the real estate industry for over 17 years, including commercial and residential purchase, sales, lease, finance, investment and development. While initially pursuing a career in the field of Computer Science, I have always had an interest in real estate.
I attended California State University Fullerton where I studied Computer Science, enabling me to serve my country in the military as an Information Technologist for the United States Navy (NCTAMS) Naval Computer and Telecommunications Area Master Station Pacific in Wahiawa, HI.
While in school, I was employed as an Ironworker Foreman, Local Union 433 out of Los Angeles developing several commercial buildings throughout Orange and Los Angeles County. One of my greatest projects included the Staples Center of Los Angeles, CA. Today my name appears on the wall recognized for my involvement in the completion of the project. The Driving Force; prior to becoming a licensed realtor, I purchased my first home obtaining the services of an inexperienced realtor. My experience, to say the least was unpleasant. Learning the hard way that experience and education is extremely important when dealing in real estate, I decided to obtain my real estate license and learn all that I could determined to become a well educated and service driven realtor with the intention to provide the level of expertise, professionalism and service expected from a licensed professional to all my friends and family.
In March of 2000, I received my real estate license and joined the real estate industry. Over the past 17 years I have been involved in hundreds of real estate transactions providing me the experience that cannot be taught in any classroom. It is because of these years of experience and continued education that I continue to flourish.
